The Centre for Quantum Information and Quantum Computation (CQIQC) was set up on 15 June 2010 at IISc, as a 5-year Research Project sanctioned by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The Project ended on 14 July 2015.

The faculty of the Centre consists of:

The main objective of the Centre is to bring together various scientists within IISc working on the subject of Quantum Information and Quantum Computation. Such a nucleation is expected to lead to exchange of information, collaboration and cross-fertilization of ideas, leading to consolidation of effort in this interdisciplinary and rapidly developing field.

The areas covered by the faculty of the Centre are:

The Centre holds regular seminars (generally last Thursday of every month) and journal club meetings (generally second Thursday of every month). The list of all past seminars is here.

The mandate of the Centre includes holding a national scientific meeting (school/workshop/conference) every year, and an international conference during its 5-year sanction. Details of these plans would regularly appear here.
