I would broadly categorize myself as a theoretical physicist. Although my primary interest is string theory, I have worked in other areas such as cosmology, black hole accretion disks and high Tc Josephson junctions as well. I believe that there are aspects of string theory that will survive the tests of time although I do not think that the theory is anywhere near its final form as yet.....

My current research is focused on using string theory tools to shed light on strongly coupled physics. In particular, I am very interested in the conformal bootstrap program. Can we show some effective stringy physics emerging from these equations?
